BudLink allows you to deploy as many parent communities as possible to handle all your social posting endeavors. Your App is specifically designed to be your single point of syndication which makes your technology footprint more digestible for your audience. Additionally, for those who are vertically integrated in there state the cross-promotion opportunities within your App is an efficient way to introduce your customers to everything you’re offering. Normal social platforms force you to segment everything, which is counterproductive and time consuming for your customers.
Your topic walls can be launched from your edit menu inside your community. This allows you to segment discussions around specific topics that are important to your audience. Expanding the flexibility of how you communicate with your customers provides a stronger engagement when they can find content quicker. Topic Walls is tied to a parent community and are limited to 10 deployable topics per parent community.
When it comes to posting in your communities or topics in your App you have several types of posts. General posts are text based and can include URL embedding, which is perfect for referencing third party content, or video streaming links. Image posts allow you to add an image with your posts. Video posts allow you to upload an already created video from your phone or computer. Hashtags are stored and can be search or applied as a filter to help you discover related content.
BudLink has common areas in the app where there are master communities and master topics. This Is built intentionally to allow free users the ability to participate in communities and topics without having to be an App Owner. One perk to all App Owners, is the ability to push any one of the posts in their App to be cloned and available to the global BudLink audience. There are two ways you can trigger this; (i.) when you are creating a new post you will have options to not only push notify your App subscribers of your new post, but also push your post to master, which allows you to select which community or topic wall you want your post to appear on. (ii.) as you are moderating your App community, you will have a BudLink chain link icon that will allow you to make it visible on the Global communities. Both methods are important ways to gain new subscribers, as when you leverage this feature your post on the Global communities will be accompanied with a via; App Name with a subscribe button.
Every community has a pinned posts section right below your topic walls. These pinned posts are controlled by the App owner, and you can select the duration of time you wish them to be pinned. This is extremely helpful when you have a very active post, or you’re making your audience aware of important information.
It wouldn’t be social media without a report a post feature. Ours is unique in as anyone can report one of your community posts and specify the reason for the complaint. When this happens, the user issuing the report is immediately banned from seeing the post they are reporting. Next the App owner will receive a notification that will allow them to review the issue, and the App owner makes the decision on the course of action.
Anyone can block anyone on the BudLink network. This is tied to each deployed feature, so if you have multiple features deployed inside your App blocking a user from one feature does not block them from all your deployed features. When you block someone, they are quarantined in your settings — Blocked Users section, which also allows you to reverse the block if you change your mind.
A touchy subject of the recent years… Shadow banning is when your voice and post is suppressed in its reach without your consent. BudLink is built to always keep our App owners in control. There is no code or algorithm inside the BudLink network that allows Shadow Banning, so rest assured it cannot even happen accidently. Your content and your message are controlled by you, ALWAYS!!
If you have ever experienced a bot attack you know how un-fair, you are treated by the large freemium social platforms. That is why BudLink is structured to place our App owners above any massive reporting efforts. Since your App is built to allow you to handle all your reporting issues, this makes it impossible for a large-scale bot attack to automatically lock up your App or place you in BudLink Jail. In fact, BudLink jail does not exist, and should you find yourself ever experiencing a bot attack on BudLink the roles are reversed which means you’re in the driver’s seat to notify support of the attack and the Bot account gets reviewed and banned by BudLink. We feel this makes much more sense them what Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter does. Again, it is our mission to always keep our App owners in control.
All Apps on the BudLink network are design to be self-policing by the App owners. This hardline stance ensures that changes to your App and its message are controlled by the one who understands your business the best, not some employee in a review center who has zero clue about your business. Now with that said, BudLink can and will intervene if we are legally required to, but even that is not a decision BudLink makes. A BudLink intervention will only occur when legally required with factual supporting documentation submitted by a lawyer to BudLink’s general counsel. Additionally, BudLink will never intervene without bringing the legal matter to our App owners’ attention and will be used as a last resort.
Public communities are just that… Anyone in the global BudLink network can choose to participate in anything that is public. However, for them to post they must first subscribe to your community or app, which prevents ghost posting.
Setting your community to private means that anyone in the global BudLink network can see that you have a private community but cannot access or participate until you approve their entry. When the user subscribes to a private community, the App owner can present questions or document proof to be passed along with their subscription request. The user then sits in Pending mode while the App owner is notified of the request and is only allowed into the private community once they have been approved by the App owner. These are great for exclusive access and or monetized community networking.
Hidden communities are only visible to the users that you manually setup access for. These are great for back office, employees, internal teams, clubs, etc. No other subscribers to your App will even know it exists.
Your App has built in direct messaging chat, which is controlled by the App owner as a on/off setting inside their community. Like every other feature in BudLink the App owner controls when and if a subscriber to their App can start a chat with them or a team member of the App. However, even if the direct chat is turned off, that just means your App subscribers can’t start a chat with you, but you can always start one with them as soon as they become a subscriber of your App. Also, there is a complete record of all chat threads stored with your App, which in the event you need a thread transcript the App owner can request it through BudLink App Support. Additionally, the App owner is the only one who can request a complete delete of these threads, so rest assured BudLink has your back should you have an employee conflict and need to recover data.
